Memorial Park

This park was initially to be named Alta Mesa Park on a hill overlooking Bollinger Canyon Road and San Ramon Valley Blvd. During the building of the park, the city council decided to change the name to Memorial Park in honor of Tom Burnett, a resident of San Ramon, and the other victims of the 93 flight killed in 11 September 2001 attacks. At the foot of an illuminated flagpole was set up a plaque devoted to the victims and the surrounding meadow is part of the memorial trees program of the city devoted to the disappeared local residents. On September 11, 2002, the park was dedicated.

This park is 16 hectares and has a play area, a BMX, a barbecue, a bocce ball court, horseshoe courts, a ball field, a dog park and water fountains. The playground consists of two large play structures, one between 2 and 5 years old and one between 5 and 12 years old.

Olympic pool

If you’re looking for a place to hold the bash or celebrate a birthday for a swimming fan last summer, the park even lets you rent picnic tables. This option is open to both residents of San Ramon and non-residents who wish to buy desirable pool property. If all of this sounds too cool to resist, paddle your way to the San Ramon Olympic Pool and Aquatic Park.

Ramona Park

Although the whole network of San Ramon Parks is impressive for its consistently good appearance and its outstanding maintenance, Ramona Park, in particular, could give some of its sister areas a run for their money. Sided in one of the Windemere projects, Ramona Park is the ideal place to relax in beautiful surroundings for a relaxing afternoon.
