Garin Elementary School serves 603 students in Kindergarten-5 grades. Garin Elementary’s dream is to be a single, inclusive community of learning.  Students, workers, and parents in this group recognize, appreciate, and demonstrate the six-character characteristics that include: trustworthiness, integrity, accountability, justice, compassion, and citizenship. Also, they want to:

People here are polite and always willing to go the extra mile and make sure our children have never been missed or ignored. The MPR is always clean. The library is well stocked and enjoyable.  The playgrounds are well maintained and secure. The lunch area is covered and secured and the grass areas are kept clean and mowed. During school hours, gates are locked.

For the 2016-17 academic year, the number of students attaining Math skills is 51 percent (which is higher than the California state average of 38 percent). The number of students attaining Reading / Language Arts skills for the 2016-17 school year is 59 percent (which is higher than the California state average of 48 percent).

For the 2016-17 academic year, Garin Elementary School put average test scores in the top 30 percent of all schools in California (math ability is top 30 percent, and reading ability is top 30 percent).
