King Park
150 City Park Way, Brentwood, CA 94513
King Park at 1379 Bauer Way has two nice playgrounds for dogs. Currently there are two play areas for dogs— one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. Owners have a responsibility to determine which play area suits their animals. All dog play areas offer specially designed play equipment for furry friends. There are benches for people to relax and enjoy while watching their dogs frolic in these fenced play areas. There are fountains of water that is both for humans and dogs. Remember to clean up after your pets in order to enjoy the spot for the next guests. “Mutt Mitts” is available to help keep this facility free of pet waste.
This dog park in the surrounding area is by far the best. It has both a large / small area for the dogs that will really satisfy any pet owners. Owners tend to pick up after their pets and speak gently when a dog does their business. Be very attentive to your fur babies and try to run and play with them, don’t tend to stay in groups because then the dogs will start doing the same thing and sometimes they can go into guard mode in close proximity and want to be the only one next to their owners.
Cleaning up, mowing the lawn and filling up the doggie bags comes once a week. The entire park is great and there are always people who take their morning walks and are very friendly with their families. If you choose to stretch your dog’s legs, you can go for a stroll around the park. It’s very well-kept. The little kids have a basketball hoop and playground. Benches to rest along the paved walkway if you have to sit down.
The only downside I would have to mention is that the small dog area is not large enough and this dog park is in the center of a neighborhood that can sometimes make parking a little tricky. I still feel bad when barking can get out of control for people living across the street. I mean, I don’t know how they do this? I wish it was more of a public place or not so much surrounded by very few parking spaces in the homes.
Otherwise, as mentioned earlier, this park is the best in town. We’ve been to other dog parks and we’ve never gone back.
