The Peasant & The Pear, Danville, California

267 Hartz Ave, Danville, CA 94526

Almost all customers become regulars and totally love this restaurant. Sitting outside is a pleasant experience if the weather is nice. The patio area is cute and cozy. Every dish that they offer has been excellent. Recommend the pear quesadilla or the mussels for starters. It’s hard to pick a favorite main dish but the lamb shank or the bouillabaisse would be at the top of the list. The prices are reasonable for quality dining experience. The Sunday brunch is a must try. Absolutely the best restaurant in Danville! Totally outstanding food, the staff is perfectly top notch! Cheers to General Manager, John and Stephanie! Love the spiced pear martini and their appetizers, especially on their secluded patio. Absolutely fantastic!!! Business trips to The Peasant & The Pear is a pleasant experience.

Bonding over great food is the best way to impress your coworkers. The staff was great, attentive, and knowledgeable and the creme brulee is to die for!!! The closest thing to an up-scale pub from the UK around for more than one reason, you won’t be disappointed with the choice or staff. The service was truly perfect, which surprisingly isn’t easy to find in this price range. The deconstructed wellington and vanilla crème brûlée stand to impress and keep you coming back. This place is an adventure in food and cuisine! The food is flavorful, customer service is on point and its surpasses all expectations. Fine dining in the Danville area! The restaurant felt upscale, but also comfortable.

The wait staff had impeccable customer service which matters to most people. This was a great eat! The menu was interesting and not too big. The server are great at helping decide which meal to pick. For 2 drinks, 1 app, 2 entrees, 1 soup, 1 salad, 2 desserts it came out to just under $135! Every visit has been exceptional; even just dining in the bar for happy hour! The staff are all very pleasant and the food has never disappointed. The burrata with the figs was incredible. The mushroom and ricotta ravioli were very tasty. The best!! From the minute you walk in the door, you know you are going to get treated like royalty.

Hostess was friendly and welcoming. Our waitress, Stephanie, was professional, chatty yet kept a constant watch on her patrons. Attentive but not intrusive. Food was superb. Ambiance superb. Stephanie told us she loves working here and it shows. Heather, the manager, came over to personally introduce herself and welcome us. This restaurant deserves 5 plus stars in every category. Thank you, Rod, you have hired professionals that love their jobs and it shows. A 63 year old waitress that is professional, experienced and loves her job!!! You are a restauranteur that really cares and goes out of his way to let his customers know how much you appreciate them.
